In 2023 we went bigger. More vendors, more kidpreneurs, more fun – with 23 main vendors and 30 kids from 6 different Sunshine Coast schools.

The 2023 December market was a huge success! Big thanks to our sponsor: the Sunshine Coast Credit Union.

And the awesome community of Halfmoon Bay who showed up, supported our kids and local artisans.

2023 Gingerbread Contest Winner!

The votes are in – the winner of the 2023 Gingerbread Contest goes to: Mr. R’s gr 4/5 class with their very creative rendition of Sponge Bob Squarepants gingerbread house in an aquarium (pictured back-right). The kids won a fun pizza day in their classroom.

Big thanks to the awesome community of Halfmoon Bay who showed up and supported our kids and local artisans. The market was such a huge success!

Thanks to the Sunshine Coast Credit Union for supporting our kids with Kidpreneur cash. Always love working with my favourite boss, Wendy, at the Halfmoon Bay - Chatelech Community School Association and Glen, our supportive principal at HMB Elementary. Thank you to Jeni, our volunteer photographer, Erin at The Halfmoon Bay Fire Department, fundraising-extraordinaire Lee, Alex the bartender, and the volunteers who helped out on the night (Mr & Mrs Nibbles, and Lori). Thankful for the main vendors who join in our energy and support entrepreneurship of all ages.

And the parents - who helped their kids get organized, craft, price, set up, and sell their creations. Thank you!

All the classes at HMB Elementary, from kindy to gr. 7, decorated their DIY cardboard gingerbread house in the hopes of getting the most votes to win.

This year, Mr. Rosenau's (DIV 4) amazing SpongeBob SquarePants aquarium took the most votes, followed by DIV 8 and DIV 3.

And congrats to Ryker, who won the "Guess How many" contest!

We are so excited to welcome you to the 2nd annual Holiday Market - tonight in the HMB Elementary School Gym.

Each of our 30 kid vendors are running their own spot, so please remember to bring cash and small bills so they can make change for you 🙂
